THE STORY
Since 1928
The evolution of printing onto T-shirts is an interesting journey. It began with the rise of screen printing, a technique that originated in ancient China and became widely popular in the mid-20th century. In the 1960s, screen printing made its way into fashion, becoming the go-to method for creating bold, colorful designs on fabrics. This was especially embraced by the counterculture movements, where T-shirts became a canvas for self-expression, art, and activism
Since 2010
As technology advanced, other methods like heat transfer printing, direct-to-film (DTF) printing, and sublimation printing emerged. DTG, for example, uses inkjet technology to print directly onto fabric, offering incredible detail and flexibility for custom designs. Meanwhile, sublimation printing allows for vibrant, full-color designs that become part of the fabric itself.
